So on the 10th Sept 2023 we celebrated 2 years of The Phenix’s Great Adventure and since we left the UK to officially live Life In A Can!
It’s been another incredible year which seems to have flown by! We have been very much over in Eastern Europe enjoying slow travel and not having to count Schengen days which makes life so much nicer and this last year being able to travel slower has meant that we have been able to truly experience countries, make connections and some really wonderful new friendships for life.
It has of course had its highs and lows, which are a standard part of life, and no matter where you are in the world they come with you! With the kids it’s navigating the sibling fights between a challenging and hormonal tween and her little bro who loves her to bits but equally enjoys annoying her and dancing around naked and she has such a short fuse these days it’s easily done!
So I feel like the usual parent referee which would be exactly the same if we were in the UK!
We have now lived in, visited or driven across 23 countries and the favourite is unanimously Turkey! Some incredible things have also happened and the top two are definitely the launch of Global Trailblazing our online youth club and kids social network which is growing rapidly and connecting kids all around the world for learning and friendship anytime and anywhere!
Also the purchase of our little project in Bulgaria which we are so excited about and we are really looking forward to having a little base there!
Above all it’s just been wonderful being together as a family. I think we do remarkably well enjoying each others company despite living in such close proximity to each other! 
We’ve loved having family to visit and Ian has been doing really well with his running and racing! Ian celebrated a big birthday this year and I’m attempting to get back into running following a long break due to my back and knee issues.
I’m excited to see if I can now get to a point where I can perhaps run a 10K at some point in the future!

I could write so much more but all in all it’s been an amazing 2nd year on the road and I’m excited to see where year 3 takes us as right now we have no intention of stopping!
One thing to come is my book! That’s a definite for this coming year and is already under way!
